While there, I found these interesting looking mushrooms. These are Nameko mushrooms, they feel sticky to the touch have a beautiful color, and have a slippery surface texture once cooked. Here is an easy and tasty recipe that you can try with your Nameko mushrooms.
Ingredients:
Nameko mushrooms, 1 basket
1 handful of Spinach
1 clove minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon butter
2 tablespoon olive oil
diced white onion
diced shallots
sprig rosemary
sea salt to taste
black pepper to taste
Directions:
- Warm olive oil in a skillet.
- Add onions, shallots, garlic, and saute until tender.
- Add mushrooms, spinach, rosemary, butter, salt and pepper.
Recommendations:
- use as a meat substitute
- for a stir fry
- would go perfectly with clams or lobster
- enjoy with your favorite white wine
side note: It is suggested that you cook your mushrooms before eating them.
